Biography
Molly Parrish-Gibbons is a Sydney-based Musical Theatre performer and Graduate of the National Institute of the Dramatic Art (NIDA) with a Diploma of Musical Theatre. She has professional experience in both Australia and internationally.
Molly’s love of theatre sparks from the chance to step into a character’s shoes and understand how they see the world. Some of her most notable achievements include being a featured vocalist in the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade and Hollywood Christmas Parade (2017) as well as performing both musical theatre and her original works in the Qudos Bank Arena (2019, 2021).
Molly has studied under amazing mentors such as Philip Quast, Anne Maree-McDonald, Peter Cousens, Veronica Beatie George, Queenie Van De Zandt, and Glenn Winslade. She had the privilege to work with directors such as Jay James-Moody and Imara Savage. She completed an Australian Tour of a Theatre in Education show “Smashed” as leading role Bronte.
Molly is passionate about making a difference, so in 2020 and 2021 she wrote, produced, and performed two of her own sold-out cabaret shows raising funds in 2020 for the firefighters during the Australian Fires and in 2021 for the women’s community shelter to support women escaping domestic violence. In 2021 she released her version of ‘The Lion’ from the new Australian Musical “The Life of Us” on Spotify.
