Biography
Tony Munnings has worked in the warehousing, logistics, security, and hospitality industries for 35 years in order to pursue the passions that define him.
As a teenager in the 80’s he dreamed of becoming the next Chuck Norris, studying and competing in a variety of martial arts. However, he was diverted from this path by discovering he had a real talent for rugby league. Young Tony was focused on building a professional career in rugby in his twenties, first in New Zealand and then in Dublin, Ireland of all places. He would spend his time playing acoustic guitar and singing recreationally, in between training and competition.
This hobby then developed in his late thirties, into a career in musical performance as a singer-songwriter, playing shows in restaurants and bars throughout the Washington DC, Virginia and Maryland region in the USA. There, Tony lived as a resident for the early part of the 2000’s while also playing and coaching rugby.
In order to overcome a malingering anxiety about performing in public, Tony turned to acting classes to learn techniques in order to appear more confident on stage. He unexpectedly discovered a love of acting and being able to explore the dichotomic relationship between actor and character, as well as actor and director.
This life of following wherever fate may lead has given Tony a wealth—and breadth—of real-life experience to bring to any character that he may be given the opportunity to portray.
