Biography
Rebekah Liepa has trained in a broad range of dance disciplines since she was four years old. Since her teen years she has shown an immense passion for singing and has excelled in the areas of Musical Theatre and Drama, with a remarkable and consistent string of awards across Eisteddfod competitions, talent shows and festivals as well as within her own school Penrith Anglican College.
Rebekah achieved a state rank (3rd) for HSC Music 2 with an overall mark of 99, including an HSC Encore nomination. She also received a Band 6 for HSC Drama.
Rebekah attended weekly private vocal tuition and guitar classes, and took drama and music as elective subjects at school. In her spare time, she enjoys writing song lyrics, which relates to her worldview—youthful, family-orientated, fun, animated, with maturing traces of an old soul and a relevantsnapshot of the issues-based, socially conscious movement.
Rebekah has completed through AMEB singing grades, achieving high distinctions in all exam results to date. Having established leadership qualities at her school, she is keen to explore both areas professionally and to follow her idols’ footprint with consummate initiative, even relating to the circumstances of her audition and callback rounds—and of course her successes—as an optimistic learning curve. Either way she is quickly discovering the very high standards in all the disciplines and spectacles that she has to strive towards.
