Sammie Grumley’s love for the uplifting, quirky acts of theatre compliments her strengths as a youthful, bubbly performer! Since 11 years of age she trained classically in voice with various teachers, as well as training in styles of dance including jazz, tap and ballet. This is when her performance journey began.
Gaining more stage experience, Sammie found that she was quite successful in her craft leading her to appear as not only an ensemble member but also in lead roles. Other highlights include being featured as a choral member in the Australian Youth Choir in her younger years, as well as achieving her teachers in dance training in 2012.
Upon finishing year 12 Sammie made the audacious decision to take her love of performing to the next level after being accepted to study a Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre) at the Ballarat Arts Academy. She has since graduated in 2015. Her university credits include performing her self-devised cabaret “Sorry!” for Ballarat and Melbourne seasons, playing the role of Alice in “Thoroughly Modern Millie” as well as Co. Chairman in her final production at the Arts Academy “The Mystery Of Edwin Drood”. She also flew to Perth to perform at a Musical Theatre Conference under the sharp direction of Miss Nancye Hayes.
