Born and raised as a Sydney girl, Monique’s love of storytelling and passion for the performing arts started at a young age. As an active member of Sydney’s Community Theatre scene, she discovered her strong contemporary and classical vocal skills with various credits including Grace (“Annie Jnr.”), Maria (“West Side Story”), Penny (“Hairspray”), Virtue (“Anything Goes”) and within “The Phantom of the Opera” (Premiere) ensemble.
After completing her Bachelor of Arts Degree – Theatre Studies and English Literature (Notre Dame University), Monique’s performance training continued, gaining both stage management and directing experience in semi-professional productions.
While completing her second Bachelor of Arts Degree (Theatre Studies) at Federation University (Sydney), Monique’s versatility and transformative skills were prominent in productions of “Showtrain” (as Edna the Bearded Lady), “Bells are Ringing” (as Blake Barton and Inspector Barnes – Understudy), “Working the Musical” (as ‘The Mason Song’ soloist), "Into the Woods" (as Jack’s Mother) and her self-devised cabaret “You Want to Seymour”.
Monique is a proud MEAA member.
