Biography
Lorenzo Giunti was born in New Caledonia in 1964. His family moved to Sydney in 1974 whereby he attended Rose Bay public school before completing his HSC at The Scots College and Waverley College. He went on to further his studies at The University of Surrey in the UK and graduating with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Business Management and Hospitality.
Having begun his career in Club Mediterannee in New Caledonia and Malaysia as well as representing major International Hotel Groups, Lorenzo speaks fluent French and Italian while enjoying extensive travelling around the world. Upon his return he established a new career in real estate in sales where he became very successful in this field.
A decade later, he decided to live overseas in Europe for a year. But home called out to him so from his permanent base in Sydney he then began his real estate auctioneering career where he is still active today.
Auctioneering has helped Lorenzo to reach out to other avenues, subsequently becoming MC for major corporate events, charity auctions and small parts in TV and film as an extra. Being the centre of attention was a natural evolution from that specific, high-pressured, adaptable skillset which he was already relishing in. He is a very people person and a born entertainer who thrives on banter, attuned to what people in the room need—whether they’re his clients, audience, or even waitstaff.
Tall, dark and carefree, Lorenzo enjoys playing tennis during his spare time. He also can be found cultivating a requisite sun-kissed tan at the beach, generally keeping fit and healthy. Beneath his showman’s persona he is a humble, fortunate father of one daughter, finding true satisfaction in simple things and positive outcomes that truly benefit other people. His giving, worldly and caring nature contributing to the philanthropy scene, hospitality and event management for many years is testament to the fact.
Today, he is one of Australia’s leading auctioneers and has appeared recently in the Westpac TVC 2026 as—you guess it—the Auctioneer.
