Biography
Thomas Fry has always viewed the stage as the ultimate therapy and escape from the daily grind and struggles of the real world, a place where he feels most at home. Thus he is grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a vibrant community.
A versatile actor, equally comfortable in both comedic and dramatic roles, he absolutely loves the feeling of performing. He has had the pleasure of performing many high-energy and hilarious characters such as Trekkie Monster in “Avenue Q”; Achmed in “Twisted”; Bustopher Jones in “Cats” and Brit in “We Will Rock You”. He also had the honour of playing more serious and demanding roles such as Theseus in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”; Billy in “The Simple Gift”; Leo Szilard in “Atomic: The New Rock Musical” and Dom Claude Frollo in “Hunchback of Notre Dame”.
Thomas has performed in several Fringe festivals on the Mid-North Coast (Naidu Theatre: “Dark of the Night”, SWIFF: “StoryLand”) as well as the occasional freelance work such as Town Crier for retirement announcements and show days, Mascot in "Monopoly Man" and a trivia/karaoke host.
With his voice being a great asset to his skillset, Thomas is quick to adapt to what is required of himself. From the encouragement of many peers, he is on the cusp of an operatic career as well. With the ability to record at home and having undertaken studies, he is interested in branching out into professional voiceover/voice acting.
Thomas made his directing debut: "The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals" with HIT Media Productions, fortunately involving the vocal talents of internationally recognised actors such as Matthew Cohen (“Supernatural”, “Made for Each Other”, “Public Domain”) and Emily Swallow (“Supernatural”, “The Mandalorian”, “Castlevania”).
