Biography
Brierly Broad is a Brisbane-based actor, filmmaker and lawyer with a passion for exploring the human condition through the arts. After several years working in intellectual property and technology law, she returns to her creative roots with renewed perspective and depth-of-life experience.
Brierly has a wide range of screen experience, with credits including Screen Queensland-funded TV movie “The Motherload” (Associate Producer – Best Pilot, Berlin Webfest 2019); Orrcon Steel’s “Back to the Future” VR experience video (Presenter); romantic sci-fi short “Broken Sleep” (Co-Producer), time travel sci-fi “Passage of Flick” (Production Manager, Gen Con Film Festival 2017), to co-producing documentary projects exploring anxiety disorders in high-functioning professions and Shakespeare in prisons.
Brierly, who loves to wear many hats, is a versatile, eclectic actress with a diverse age and character range. This includes playing a Spanish speaking, prosthetic-wearing turtle creature in US-Oz short “Borders of the Imagination” to a hard hat-wearing steel manufacturing expert for Orrcon Steel” as well as a track-line riddled drug addict (“The Priest” – part of Deadhouse Films ‘A Night of Horror Anthology, Vol. 1’).
