Born in Paris in 1987 and with an itch to dance since the time she was an infant, Aude Florentin finally commenced intense training at the age of 7. By 11 years old she joined the Paris Opera Ballet School. She graduated at 17 from the Paris Conservatoire (Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris) and continued on with the Youth Ballet Company the following year.
Aude first professional experience was performing for two seasons with Europa Danse (European Youth Ballet Company) as a soloist, touring around Europe for over 12 months in over 90 performances. She then joined the Bordeaux Opera Ballet (South of France) for 2 years in Charles Jude’s "Danseur Etoile" at the Paris Opera Ballet.
Aude moved to Australia in 2008 and danced with the Australian Ballet directed by David McAllister and the Melbourne Ballet Company. In full bloom, she settled there for 2 years. In 2010, Scottish Ballet Artistic Director Ashley Page, gave her the opportunity to join the company as a guest artist. She returned to Australia in 2011. She performed Odette in “Swan Lake” on a Tasmanian tour. She was involved in many Opera Australia productions, dancing for “Magic Flute”, “Pearl Fishers”, and “Columbine in Capriccio” at the famous landmark Sydney Opera House.
Aude has worked alongside recognised artists, Liane Dayde, Claude Bessy, Elisabeth Platel, Jose Martinez, Cyril Atanassoff, Monique Loudieres, Attilio Labis, Nicolas Blanc, Thierry Malandain and Vicky Attard. Alongside them, she has appeared in many traditional ballets: “Giselle”, “Don Quixote”, “Nutcracker”, “Cinderella”, “Manon” “Chopiniana” and “The Rite of Spring”.
Aude performed with acclaimed choreographers such as Jiri Kylian, Nacho Duato, Alexander Ekman and Carol Armitage. Aude also participated at many International ballet competitions like the Monaco Dance Forum and the Prix de Lausanne (quarter-finalist) and was successful at the Cirque du Soleil audition. She is on call to work with them within the next 3 years.
Aude nowadays stays busy performing worldwide for internationals best Dance Companies and Choreographers. With an important experience in Ballet, Aude has diversified by working commercially and performing arial (double trapeze act - Moulin Rouge), teaching Pilates and Ballet.
